The quick answer.
Lagenio K9 4G AI Kids Smart Watch (Purple / US) is a kids smartwatch watch with case dimensions 48.5 × 40.9 × 13.0 mm at $139.99. We recommend it for a family looking for parent-managed 4G calls, GPS-based location features, SOS contact and school-time controls on a watch.
Why it belongs on the shortlist.
The K9 is built around family contact: parents manage the approved contacts, use the app to check location and can set a safe zone or SOS contact. Lagenio says the watch does not include an open app store, third-party social media or unrestricted web browsing. The US version arrives with a SpeedTalk SIM already inserted, but it is inactive; activation is optional at $15.99 per month, and Lagenio says another compatible physical Nano SIM can be used instead. The official US-variant listing showed $139.99 on October 20. Watch Ritual’s supplied SEBASTIANBASSOL code is 10% off, but it has not been tested on this exact K9 variant.
A watch phone with family controls at its center.
The K9 supports 4G voice and video calls, parent-managed contacts, SOS and safe-zone alerts. Parents use Lagenio’s app to manage the child’s contacts and watch settings. Lagenio says the K9 has no open app store, third-party social apps or unrestricted web browsing, which keeps the feature set focused on communication and family routines.
Understand the SIM before you buy.
The US version includes a pre-inserted SpeedTalk SIM, but it is inactive when delivered. Lagenio says activation is optional and costs $15.99 per month; you can remove it and use another compatible physical 4G Nano SIM with voice and data. The K9 does not support eSIM, and data-only plans are not recommended. Confirm your carrier and plan before ordering.
The feature set is broader than the K10.
Lagenio lists a 1.78-inch AMOLED display, 5 MP camera, 1 GB RAM and 8 GB storage for the K9. It also adds Nio AI learning tools. The positioning system combines GPS, Wi-Fi, LBS, A-GPS and accelerometer data, but Lagenio notes that location accuracy changes with signal and environment.
Check the case and the water guidance.
The K9 measures 48.5 × 40.9 × 13 mm, so compare its full footprint with a watch your child already wears. Lagenio lists IP68 protection for rain, handwashing and daily splashes, and advises removing the watch before bathing, swimming or going into the sea.

Shipping, taxes and any optional SIM service are separate.

Before you choose
The 48.5 × 40.9 × 13 mm case is a noticeable footprint on a child’s wrist. Lagenio requires a physical 4G Nano SIM with both voice and data; eSIM and data-only plans are not supported. Location accuracy depends on signal and surroundings, and the IP68 listing is for everyday splashes rather than swimming. Check carrier compatibility and the current code terms before ordering.
Who it suits.
A family looking for parent-managed 4G calls, GPS-based location features, SOS contact and school-time controls on a watch.
When to choose something else.
Skip it if you need a very small case, do not want to arrange a compatible SIM plan, or want a child to use open app stores and social apps.
Warranty, returns and ownership.
Lagenio lists a one-year limited warranty and a 30-day refund policy. The exact SIM and return terms for the US version should be confirmed on the current merchant page before ordering.
